In global economic relations, the Islamic finance has a potential role as a middleman. Effectively and efficiently connect the mobilization and allocation of funds between countries in the region and globally.
Regions that excess funds may be channeled to deficit areas, of course under the principles of fairness and balance as the basis of Islamic finance. It then formed a global financial integration is better. To achieve this, countries in Southeast Asia requires a synergy in the form of common platforms.

Competing the Global Market: Chalenges in Product Development.
During its development, the Islamic finance is no longer just for Muslims. The decision to buy Islamic financial products are no longer based on the spiritual motives, but the benefits and value of rest. The growth of Islamic finance in Islamic financial institutions globally and non-Muslim countries showed this trend.
Southeast Asia requires international exposure, not just regional. This can be done by throwing the global-standard products that can compete with conventional financial products or other Islamic financial. Experience in creating a multinational bank syariah products of international standard, needs to be studied by practitioners in this area.

Regional Islamic Finance Outlook 2010
Commitment to some ASEAN countries to become Islamic Finance hub-not just mere figment. Attempts to realize the situation continues to be encouraged by their respective governments. Indonesia was preparing to make its Islamic financial institutions become the greatest in ASEAN.
Strategy and development of Islamic financial markets in the world and ASEAN, especially Indonesia needs to be mapped to evaluate and plan strategic moves to win the global competition.
